With more than 35 years of broad-based leadership experience and local market insight within for profit and not for profit business sectors in Western Michigan, Richardson-Green has developed a unique ability to facilitate difficult and complex interactions while building relationships, especially where the participants appear to have diverse worldviews.
In addition to independent consulting, Richardson-Green is providing organizational leadership as Executive Director of Partners for a Racism Free Community. Richardson-Green gained much insight into organizational and individual behavior during a successful 33 year leadership career at Steelcase Inc., a global work effectiveness company headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan. A life-long learner, she earned her BA in Communications from Oakland University in Rochester, MI. She holds certification in leadership development from the Executive Institute on Women and Leadership at Stanford University; Certified Diversity Professional from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations and Cultural Intelligence from the Cultural Intelligence Center.
Additionally, Richardson-Green has a long and rich history of facilitating and/or presenting to diverse audiences on a wide-range of topics including leadership, change, professional development and diversity for organizations such as: Adolescent and Family Behavioral Health Services, Arbor Circle, Caregivers Resource Network, CQ Summit 2016, Family Futures, GR Area Chamber of Commerce, GVSU, Hospice of Michigan, Inforum-Michigan.
Richardson-Green has received several distinguished awards: GR Area Chamber of Commerce “Diversity Visionary”; Leadership Grand Rapids “Community Trustee”; YWCA “Tribute”; GR Catholic Diocese Knights and Ladies of Peter Claver “Racial Justice Unity”; and Woodrick Diversity Center of Grand Rapids Community College “Raymond C Tardy Community Service Giant”.
