Christopher Macon is a Human Resource Consultant in West Michigan where he focuses on crafting trainings and advising organizations on issues of diversity and inclusion, race and racism. While working at Fifth Third/Old Kent Bank he held various positions including VP and AVP, Production and Operations Manager, respectively. His experience included managing operation centers, project team leadership and installation of Affirmative Action software tracking system. He served on the West Michigan Diversity /Inclusion Council, he was also the Program Manager for the Business Resource Groups and completed a year-long Mentoring Pilot Program. He is a Master Facilitator for Diversity Awareness Training and delivered New Employee Orientation and Interviewing for Excellence classes. Chris served in the United States Navy (Active) for four years and retired as a Captain from the United States Navy Reserve (Intelligence Community).
Chris is past board chair of Blodgett Family Services, Grand Rapids Urban League and the Minority Business Alliance of Southwestern Michigan. He served on the American Red Cross Board and the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce Diversity Advisory Council.
